well for those of you who don't know today is world aids day.Image and video hosting by TinyPic
World Aids Day is observed
December 1 each year, and is dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection. It is common to hold memorials to honor persons who have died from HIV/AIDS on this day. Government and health officials also observe the event, often with speeches or forums on the AIDS topics. Since 1995, the President of the United States has made an official proclamation on World AIDS Day. Governments of other nations have followed suit and issued similar announcements.

AIDS has killed more than 25 million people between 1981 and 2007.& an estimated 33 million people worldwide live with HIV as of 2007.With facts like this it is said that HIV is one of the most destructive epidemics in recorded history.

Ever since i was little i knew that i wanted to help change the world how exactly, at the moment i didn't know. But thinking about it i figured out that i want to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS.I feel that at times this issue is left untalked about.I want to help put it in the spotlight and i want to inform people that no matter how much you wish it would go away it won't but we all can help to have as many people as possible know what they should and shouldn't do to keep HIV/AIDS from spreading more then what it already has.

With me being in love with my computer and the internet i found some great sites that show you how you can help contribute to helping the AIDS epidemic in Africa.& the sites are:
www.seventeen.com/red
on this website it gives you
:

HIV/AIDS Resources and it tells you how to

Gain awareness about the disease and learn how you can support the cause!

some of the ways you can help support is by doing the littlest thing like buying a (red)ipod nano or shuffle, buying a cup of starbucks coffee, and you can even help by buying a pair of converse.

Another website that show you how you can help is:
www.joinred.com
on this website it tells you how you can support the cause and it tells you how much the action you make can help. For Example:since the holidays are coming soon i'm pretty sure that i'm not the only one who buys christmas cards. With joinred.com you are able to buy product(red) hallmark cards and the purchase of one hallmark card with sound provides a single treatment to help REDUCE THE RISK OF HIV TRANSMISSION from mother to child.

Well i would like to end this blog by saying for those of you who are sexually active i recommend that you go out and get tested and always remember no matter the situation your in... BE SAFE!!!
